Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in various settings, including Level I and Level II Trauma Centers, inpatient facilities, assisted living communities, and home community care. Your primary focus will be on supporting patients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and assisting nursing staff in delivering exceptional medical care.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Provide support for patients with dementia care needs, ensuring a safe and comforting environment.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using electronic health record systems like Epic.
- Help transport patients within the facility as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to implement individualized care plans for each patient.
- Educate patients and their families about health management and available resources.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with DME (Durable Medical Equipment) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Epic is a plus.
- Experience working in Level I or Level II Trauma Centers is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
