We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys by conducting legal research, drafting documents, and managing case files. Your expertise will help ensure that our clients receive the highest quality of legal support.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis to gather relevant information for cases.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials by organizing case files and summarizing evidence.
- Interview clients and witnesses to gather pertinent information for cases.
- Manage case files and maintain organized records of all legal documents and correspondence.
- Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may impact ongoing cases, particularly in family law and tribal law regulations.
- Collaborate with attorneys to develop strategies for case management and resolution.
- Provide clerical support as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
Requirements
- Proven experience within a legal environment.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures related to family law, workers' compensation law, environmental law, and tribal law regulations.
- Proficiency in legal drafting and case management software.
- Excellent research skills with the ability to analyze complex information effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to conduct interviews professionally.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $20.70 - $22.99 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
