Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Peer Specialist to join our team. The Certified Peer Specialist will provide support and guidance to individuals facing mental health challenges by sharing their own lived experiences and offering encouragement and resources.
Duties
- Utilize personal experiences to connect with individuals facing mental health challenges
- Provide peer support and advocacy to clients in various settings
- Assist individuals in setting and achieving personal recovery goals
- Collaborate with treatment teams to develop individualized care plans
Qualifications
- Certification as a Peer Specialist
- Proficiency in addiction counseling, social work, crisis intervention, crisis management, mental health counseling, behavioral health, motivational interviewing, systems, mentoring
