Description:
Telos Actuarial, LLC is looking for an Actuarial Analyst to work in our actuarial consulting practice. In this position, the candidate will utilize their analytical and technical skills to assist the company's clients by developing and managing insurance products. Actuarial analysts can also contribute to the production of digital products and media content that are available to the company’s Medicare Market Insights newsletter.
Representative responsibilities include:
- Organize and analyze data in multiple environments, and develop database applications.
- Maintain company databases, including streamlining and automating internal processes, procedures, and reporting functionality.
- Prepare reserve reports in support of client liabilities.
- Assist with market research activities and translate information into marketable tools.
- Support the company through development of reports, applications and other necessary activities to meet client expectations.
- Develop social media and newsletter content.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of related work experience a plus, actuarial work experience also a plus.
- Experience with data warehouse concepts, SQL programming, Microsoft Office applications, and web based applications.
- Highly driven, self-motivator / self-starter, with a strong desire to challenge and deliver.
- Must work well in a team environment and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff and customers.
- Demonstrate or develop excellent communication skills, exercising appropriate discretion in dealing with people from all levels of client companies.
- Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous eye for identifying inconsistencies or inaccuracies.
- Display a resilient and adaptable style, with a track record of remaining calm and maintaining order in demanding circumstances.
