Human Resources Manager - Covington, GA
This is a full-time in-office role, based out of our Covington, GA office, reporting to the VP of Human Resources. The HR Manager will function as an integrated member of an assigned business unit or business units by providing strategic human resources partnership. This position will partner with leadership teams to drive, influence, and implement people strategies that support and align with business needs. The HR Manager will work collaboratively with designated leaders to incorporate human resource expertise to support and maximize division / departmental performance. This position will lead the HR strategy for the assigned business unit. With an advanced working knowledge of the business and departmental goals and objectives, the HR Manager will guide and influence leaders to execute operational and strategic business objectives. The HR Manager will function as a member of the HR team and will help define and drive the overall HR organizational strategy. This position has a heavy focus on HR compliance experience within the state of California, coupled with multi state HR functions.

Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic partnership with the business (or functional) leader through the alignment with business goals, targets, strategy and competition, financials, market dynamics, levers, and issues.
- Provides insights to leadership team regarding business unit organizational health and effectiveness; develops plans and assesses resources to enable the creation of high-performance teams.
- Coach/advise senior leadership on matters of team leadership, team effectiveness, talent management, and organizational effectiveness.
- Effectively partner to solve business opportunities in the areas of staffing, capability enhancement, compensation, benefits, change management, and organizational effectiveness.
- Partners with management on organizational and human capital issues such as employee development, organizational design/effectiveness, succession planning, workforce planning, retention, and training.
- Consults with and provides guidance to both managers and employees regarding a variety of issues, including issue resolution, career development, employee relations, performance improvement, corrective counseling and other human resources issues as needed.
- Builds collaborative relationships with others throughout organization and within HR department to resolve routine and complex HR related issues and questions.
- Acts as internal consultant by analyzing and observing process designs to identify barriers to successful outcomes.
- Acts as a change agent with an emphasis on aligning business practice with the company's mission and core values.
- Effectively communicates with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport and gauge morale.
- Participates in developing HR department goals and objectives and in recommending innovative approaches, practices and procedures for continual process improvement.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 7 years of Human Resources management or relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
- Prior OD/change leadership experience.
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP Certification a plus.
- Must have ADP (Workforce Now) experience.
- Proven relationship building skills and effectiveness influencing and coaching senior leaders.
- Thorough knowledge of multi state and federal laws pertaining to Human Resources.
- Must have strong analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to present information to executive level management.
- Excellent consulting and coaching skills.
- Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork.
- Excellent organizational skills and demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative in dealing with daily HR task.
