The Health and Welfare Functional Lead will play a critical role in designing and leading the implementation of health and welfare solutions within our Pension and Benefits Administration system. This role will focus on solution design, integration, and team leadership, ensuring the seamless execution of client implementations. The Functional Lead will collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Teams, and Implementation Teams to deliver high-value solutions while maintaining best practices in system integration and business process optimization.

The Health and Welfare Functional Lead will play a critical role in designing and leading the implementation of health and welfare solutions within our Pension and Benefits Administration system. This role will focus on solution design, integration, and team leadership, ensuring the seamless execution of client implementations. The Functional Lead will collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Teams, and Implementation Teams to deliver high-value solutions while maintaining best practices in system integration and business process optimization.
What you’ll do
- Lead the design and development of health and welfare solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Product Teams to define innovative solutions.
- Oversee system integration efforts, ensuring seamless data flow across platforms.
- Lead a team of Functional Analysts and Implementation Specialists, providing guidance on best practices and solution approaches.
- Work closely with Implementation Managers to ensure a smooth deployment process.
- Act as the primary point of contact for functional and technical challenges during the implementation lifecycle.
- Define and enforce solution delivery standards and procedures to optimize efficiency.
- Ensure proper configuration and implementation of the Ariel system, leveraging existing capabilities while recommending enhancements when necessary.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to establish and execute test strategies for system validation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to review and refine solution approaches.
- Provide expert consultation on design choices, potential risks, and alternative solutions.
- Work closely with clients to ensure their expectations align with the delivered solution.
- 7 years of experience in health and welfare benefits administration or related fields, focusing on solution design and implementation.
- Strong expertise in business process modeling, system configuration, and web/mobile application design.
- Experience leading functional teams, guiding them through system design and implementation phases.
- Strong understanding of health and welfare benefits
- Solid SQL knowledge, plus proficiency in at least one coding language is required.
- Solid understanding in payroll systems, and system integration methodologies.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and iterative solution development.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently, drive innovation, and make strategic decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex system challenges.
- Experience with financial reporting, payment processing, and system testing is a plus.
