DAS Engineer

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DAS Engineer for a 6-month contract to manage and maintain our client's Distributed Antenna System (DAS) infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting and incident management skills, as well as experience with DAS network maintenance. Experience with iBwave design software, specifically the ability to interpret floor plans. Certifications or demonstrable experience with multiple DAS OEMs are essential. This role also includes vendor management responsibilities related to DAS equipment and services.

Responsibilities :

• Incident Management : Respond promptly and effectively to DAS network incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
• Break-Fix : Diagnose and resolve DAS network issues, including hardware failures, software glitches, and connectivity problems.
• Troubleshooting : Utilize various diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and resolve complex DAS network problems.
• DAS Network Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance tasks, including system checks, software updates, and hardware inspections, to ensure optimal network performance. (Preferred)
• iBwave Design : Utilize iBwave software to analyze and optimize DAS network coverage and performance.
• Floor Plan Interpretation : Read and interpret building floor plans to understand DAS infrastructure layout and identify potential issues.
• OEM Experience : Demonstrate experience with multiple DAS OEMs (e.g., CommScope, Corning, ADRF) and their respective systems. Certifications are a plus.
• Vendor Management : Manage relationships with DAS equipment vendors and service providers.
• Collaboration : Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to ensure seamless DAS network operation.
• Documentation : Maintain accurate records of DAS network configurations, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting steps.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a DAS Engineer, with a strong focus on incident management, break-fix, and troubleshooting. 2 years minimum.
• Hands-on experience with DAS network maintenance is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in iBwave design software is mandatory. Major plus if certified.
• Ability to read and interpret building floor plans is essential.
• Certification or demonstrable experience with multiple DAS OEMs (e.g., SoLid, Corning, ADRF, etc.) is required. Please specify OEMs on your resume.
• Experience with vendor management in a technical context is required.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with specific DAS network management tools.
• Knowledge of RF principles and wireless technologies.
