Summary
This exciting role is perfect for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for construction and a knack for technology. As a Project Controls Specialist/Commissioning Assistant, you'll play a vital role in keeping projects on track by helping to manage schedules, track progress, and ensure everything goes smoothly during the commissioning phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule & Progress Tracking: Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules using software like Microsoft Project. Track project progress, identify potential delays, and help to keep the project on schedule.
- Document Control: Help organize and maintain project documents, including drawings, specifications, and commissioning records. This may involve using electronic filing systems and databases.
- Commissioning Support: Assist with the planning and execution of commissioning activities. This could include preparing checklists, gathering data, and supporting field personnel during tests and inspections.
- Data Entry & Analysis: Assist with data entry and analysis using tools like Excel. This may involve tracking project costs, updating schedules, and generating simple reports.
- Communication & Coordination: Assist with communication between project team members, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in related degree.
- 1-3 years of experience in construction, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn. (This is very important)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with project management software (like Microsoft Project).
- Experience with construction documentation and drawing sets.
- Some understanding of basic engineering principles.
