What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead DAS Field Technician position at Telvero?
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.
Lead teams in the installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of in-building and public safety DAS. Expertise in PIM testing, Anritsu equipment, fiber splicing, and various OEM equipment is crucial. This position demands hands-on technical skills and strong leadership abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise DAS installation teams.
- Perform hands-on installation, configuration, and testing of DAS systems.
- Conduct PIM testing and troubleshoot interference.
- Utilize Anritsu test equipment for system verification.
- Perform fiber optic cable splicing and testing.
- Work with various DAS OEM equipment (e.g., CommScope, Corning, ADRF etc)
- Interpret RF design drawings and specifications.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Travel extensively as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in DAS installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Proven experience with in-building and public safety DAS.
- Expertise in PIM testing and analysis.
- Proficiency in using Anritsu test equipment (e.g., Site Master, PIM Master).
- Mastery of fiber optic cable splicing and testing techniques.
- Experience with various DAS OEM equipment (e.g., CommScope, Corning, ADRF, etc)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to travel extensively (required).
