Job Summary:
As the Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the General Manager by overseeing the daily functions of the Temco Logistics Flatbed Distribution Center (FDC) for The Home Depot. This position focuses on leading a team of class A drivers, optimizing delivery routes, and ensuring strict compliance with safety and operational standards. —all while fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the General Manager to manage and enhance daily FDC operations.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of drivers, ensuring adherence to safety and operational guidelines.
• Create and implement efficient route plans to maximize delivery performance and minimize transit times.
• Monitor driver performance and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Foster cross-departmental collaboration for effective communication and seamless operations.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, offering constructive feedback to drivers to drive continuous improvement.
• Address and resolve operational challenges and customer concerns in a timely manner.
• Assist in budget management, tracking expenses, and optimizing resource allocation to achieve financial objectives.
• Oversee fleet maintenance and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
• Manage HR functions, including payroll processes and driver scheduling.
• Focus on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as premium on-time delivery, handheld compliance, exception code accuracy, and customer satisfaction (CSAT) surveys.
• Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for drivers to enhance their skills and performance.

Qualifications:

• Class A Drivers license.
• Proven experience in Transportation/logistics management, preferably in a distribution center environment.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Proficient in data analysis, with the capability to make informed decisions based on performance metrics.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
