Job Summary:
The Morning Cleaner is responsible for ensuring the bowling alley is clean, safe, and ready for the day’s operations. This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks throughout the facility, including restrooms, common areas, staff spaces, and the snack bar. The ideal candidate will be punctual, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining high cleanliness standards, particularly in food preparation areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Cleaning:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the facility, including carpeted areas, hallways, and common areas.
- Wipe down and sanitize high-touch surfaces such as tables, chairs, and countertops in public spaces.
- Empty trash bins and replace liners in all areas.
- Restroom Maintenance:
- Clean and sanitize all restroom fixtures, including sinks, toilets, and urinals.
- Replenish toiletries, such as soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and sanitizing supplies.
- Ensure restrooms are tidy and odor-free, addressing any maintenance needs promptly.
- Snack Bar Cleaning:
- Clean all snack bar surfaces, including counters, shelves, and cooking equipment.
- Change fryer oil as needed, ensuring proper disposal and maintenance of cooking appliances.
- Clean out and sanitize the pizza oven, ensuring it is free of grease, crumbs, and food buildup.
- Wipe down all kitchen equipment, including grills, fryers, and microwaves, and sanitize food prep areas.
- Ensure all utensils, trays, and cooking tools are properly cleaned and stored.
- Lounge and Common Area:
- Clean seating areas and wipe down tables to ensure a welcoming environment.
- Maintain cleanliness around vending machines, snack bars, and any additional food or beverage stations.
- Ensure arcade or game areas are free of debris and sanitized.
- Safety and Sanitation:
- Follow all safety and cleaning protocols to ensure a safe, hygienic environment for both employees and customers.
- Report any issues such as broken equipment, plumbing problems, or safety hazards to management.
- Stocking Supplies:
- Assist with stocking cleaning supplies and organizing janitorial closets.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning products and inform management when supplies are running low.
- End of Shift Duties:
- Ensure all areas are prepared for daily operations, leaving the premises ready for staff and customers.
- Properly store cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring storage areas are tidy.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous cleaning or kitchen maintenance experience, preferably in a hospitality or recreational environment.
- Skills:
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaners, mops, etc.) and follow safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards, especially in food preparation areas.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and ability to report issues or needs to management.
- Physical Requirements:
