Job Description
Summary/ Objective:
The Medical Office Support Staff is responsible for all front desk requests.
Essential Functions:
Administrative Duties:
- Using computer applications (EHR, Microsoft Office, and Internet)
- Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
- Greeting visitors and determining the purpose of the visit and directing them appropriately
- Answering telephones and transferring calls to the appropriate staff members
- Understanding health insurance policies
- Ability to collect co-pays/form fees etc.
- Perform basic direct referrals

Physical Demands:
- May be required to lift or move up to 15lbs

Position Type/Expected Work Hours:
This is a full time position, working 40 hours per week. Scheduled hours will be 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent qualification
- Advanced understanding of medical terminology and administration processes
- Proficiency in EHR/EMR programs and Microsoft office
