What are the responsibilities and job description for the Locksmith Technician position at TEMECULA VALLEY SECURITY CENTER?
- Repair or replace damaged components of entrance and exit door locks
- Repair and replace damaged door and window locks, hinges and electric locking release mechanisms
- Examine locking mechanisms and cut keys to replace lost or damaged keys
- Assist clients in unlocking doors when keys are lost by either rekeying the lockset or cutting a key to work in the lock.
- Design and develop master key systems
- Install and repair electric strikes and electronic security hardware
- Change lock combinations on safe and vault doors
- Create keys from code
- Duplicate keys for residences, shops, department stores and warehouse as a commercial service
- Open safes when the combination is unknown and change combinations and make repairs to safe locks when necessary
- Program remotes and keys for electronic ignition cars.
- Create keys for autos, motorcycles, RV’s, boats, and toolboxes.
- Create and maintain a clean and safe working area.
- Assist customers with moving safes, motorcycles, cabinets and other items as needed.
- Write invoices, collect fees and run credit cards.
- Call customers when jobs and parts are ready for pickup
- Track inventory and update pricing as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Locksmithing: 5 years (Preferred)
