Job Description / Essential Elements :
As a Moderate / Severe Special Day Class (SDC) Teacher in TVUSD, you will provide specialized instruction and support to students with significant cognitive, physical, and / or behavioral disabilities. Your responsibilities include designing and implementing individualized education plans, collaborating with support staff and therapists, and creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that fosters growth and development for each student.
Designated Case Management Time and Stipends :
6th-12th grade Moderate / Severe SDC teachers in TVUSD are eligible to use up to eighteen (18) case management release days per year. They also receive a $1500 annual stipend, and an additional 20% of their base pay monthly in lieu of having a daily preparation period per day.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid CA or out of state appropriate Special Education Moderate / Severe Credential required.
English Language Authorization ELA1, ELAE, CLAD or CCSD / SDAIE required.
Autism (AAAS) authorization required.
