Job Description / Essential Elements :
As a Mild / Moderate Special Education Teacher in TVUSD, you will deliver Specialized Academic Instruction and support to students with mild to moderate learning disabilities. Your role involves developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), adapting curriculum materials to meet diverse learning needs, and collaborating with other educators and support staff to ensure an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. Available positions include both Resource Specialist (RSP) and Special Day Class (SDC) assignments.
Designated Case Management Time :
6th-12th grade Mild / Moderate teachers in TVUSD are assigned one (1) class period per day to be utilized for special education case management AND an additional class period for preparation.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid CA or out of state appropriate Special Education Mild / Moderate Credential required.
English Language Authorization ELA1, ELAE, CLAD or CCSD / SDAIE required.
Autism (AAAS) authorization required.
