What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Assistant position at Temenos CDC?
The Resident Assistant supports residents by addressing their concerns and assisting with daily activities. Responsibilities include managing work orders, assisting with food services, maintaining logs for incidents and maintenance requests, and ensuring cleanliness in public areas. The role involves collaborating with property staff to resolve issues, conducting unit inspections and security patrols, and responding to emergencies. The Resident Assistant also controls access to the property, monitors surveillance, and participates in meetings and training to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Reports directly to the Director of Operations.
Assist residents with inquiries, requests and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Refer residents to submit all work orders to the property management team according to the property protocol.
For emergency work orders, on-call maintenance is the first point of contact. Follow up with a phone call to the property manager. For additional documentation, email the property manager and cc supervisor. Please see the attached security guidelines and provide feedback.
Assist with activities by the organization or volunteers.
Participate in hourly reporting of each shift, including deliveries, supply needs, instances, incidents and any observations needing attention.
Maintain daily logs for guests, packages, incidents, inventory, washer & dryer, and maintenance request.
Assist with serving and maintaining food for residents.
Work with property staff, families, and community agencies to identify and address resident problems before they reach crisis proportions.
Be an active member of the site team, working collaboratively with the property manager and other site staff to meet property needs and resolve resident problems. Work with residents to resolve conflicts with neighbors.
Attends all staff meetings, training sessions, and other appropriate meetings and conferences as required.
Perform general cleaning duties in publicly used spaces to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for residents, as related to the assigned program.
Participate in relevant local, regional, state and / or national organizations as assigned.
Unit Inspections and welfare checks must be conducted when applicable.
Conduct regular patrol and monitor surveillance cameras to detect and deter unauthorized activities.
Responded promptly to incidents, including thefts, disturbances, and medical emergencies.
Maintained detailed incident reports and documented any breaches of security protocols.
Controlled access to the premises by verifying identification and ensuring compliance with security procedures. The front door must be always locked.
Provided exceptional customer service by addressing concerns and inquiries from visitors and staff.
Collaborated with law enforcement and emergency services in the event of major.
Keep common areas of building clean free from clutter and trash debris.
Other duties assigned.
Required qualifications :
Legally authorized to work in the United States
18 years or older
Preferred qualifications :
At least high school diploma or equivalent or higher
Reliable transportation to and from work
