We are currently looking for a veterinary assistant, all levels of experience will be considered. We are willing to train or help you improve your skills and knowledge! We are looking for a full-time employee who will be a part of our team for many years to come.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong desire to support veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to pets. This role involves assisting with various tasks in a veterinary clinic, ensuring the well-being of animals, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, providing support as needed.
- Handle and restrain animals safely to facilitate examinations and treatments.
- Maintain cleanliness in the clinic, including kennels, treatment areas, and surgical rooms.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor animal health and report any changes or concerns to the veterinary staff.
- Educate pet owners on proper care and handling of their animals.
- Assist with record keeping, including updating patient files and managing inventory.
- Serve as an advocate to ensure an optimal experience in all aspects of client and patient care.
Job Type: Full-time
