TITLE: Data and Compliance Specialist
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Data and Compliance Specialist is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of student data, compliance reporting, and the integrity of records for district, state, and federal requirements. This position plays a vital role in managing student information, coordinating state assessment processes, and supporting compliance initiatives in collaboration with various departments, enterprise partners, and external agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED
2. Associates Degree or equivalent classwork experience from an accredited college or CTE school and/or equivalent working experience in a K-12 school district (Arizona preferred) in the area of accounting or compliance and student information reporting
3. Two years professional experience with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, databases, and common statistical software (e.g., SPSS, AblebitsData, etc.)
4. State of Arizona Identity Verified (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
5. May require a valid Arizona Driver’s License
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Assist with the planning, development, and implementation of data compliance activities according to state and federal legislation.
? Perform regular audits and internal reviews.
? Participate as appropriate in meetings, professional learning, and training.
? Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of data dashboards/reports.
? Generate reports, analyses, and data for monitoring of progress and compliance.
? Analyze internal data, identify trends and areas of improvement, and verify results for accuracy; meet deadlines.
? Oversee data and compliance projects, implement reports that track district Objectives and Key Results, and perform related duties as assigned.
? Maintain, update, and verify confidential student information using the district student information system.
? Support the District Testing Coordinator, district and school personnel regarding the components of the annual and ongoing state assessment processes (e.g., AZELLA, AASA, AzSCI, MSAA, AltELPA).
? Maintain and manage large data systems and sets.
? Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
? Work with District Test Coordinator, district and school teams, as well as outside entities in the management of student data.
? Perform other duties as assigned.

? Knowledge of District policies and procedures, Federal and State compliance and accountability, rules and regulations, Governing Board and school operations.
? Proficient ability in MS Office and with database or data entry systems.

? Ability to independently take initiative and work efficiently, exercising reasonable judgment in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Fast-paced office environment with multiple ongoing projects and deadlines.
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Position may require climbing, stooping, standing, walking, keyboarding, 10-key, talking, listening, eyestrain, and repetitive motions.
May be required to travel to in- and out-of-district sites.
May require lifting and carrying materials and supplies weighing up to 20 lbs.
