JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide support and leadership in the area of science.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Arizona Teacher Certificate
- Arizona Supervisory Certificate
- Highly Qualified in Science
- Master Degree in Education
- Minimum three (3) years successful classroom teaching experience
- Knowledge of science curriculum and teaching strategies

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support and leadership in the areas of science/health.
- Coordinate human growth and development program.
- Prepare reports for the district and state.
- Develop curriculum for science, health and human growth and development.
- Coordinate textbook adoptions for science and health.
- Assist principals in providing in-service to teachers in science/health.
- Provide staff development in the areas of science/health.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide staff development.
- Facilitate monthly district science/health meetings.
- Participate in articulation with the high school district regarding science.
- Assist in the analysis of science assessments.
- Recommend appropriate science and health materials and resources.
- Model instructional strategies in classrooms.
- Coach teachers in the area of science/health.
- Develop and maintain records and reports as necessary.
- Coordinate and monitor appropriate budgets.
- Participate in meetings pertaining to primary function.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SALARY:
The actual salary for the successful candidate will be determined during contract negotiations and will be based on experience and professional preparation.
