TITLE : Psychologist Various Locations
JOB DESCRIPTION :
To provide high quality psychological services to Tempe School District #3 in support of the district's goals.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- M.A., M.S.Ed., Ed.S., Ph.D., Ed.D., or Psy.D. in School Psychology or Psychology
- Arizona School Psychologist Certification
- Obtain and maintain NCI, First Aid, and CPR certifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of academic and behavior interventions, including development of FBA and PBIPS
- Ability to conduct comprehensive psycho educational evaluations to determine eligibility for special education and determine student needs.
- Good knowledge of the nature and effects of the impairment(s) or disability(s) of students
- Knowledge of special education law, procedures, practices, and materials required to provide appropriate learning experiences for students
- Ability to assess needs, develop and implement the IEP, and evaluate outcomes in specialty
- Ability to coordinate activities with related and specialist staff
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, parents, and the community; excellent human relations skills; skill in both oral and written communications; ability to work in a multicultural environment with a diverse population of staff, students, and parents
- May be required to control certain behavior(s) through physical restraint
- Computer proficiency in district designated computer software, including MET and IEP software programs, Microsoft office, and other relevant software
- Ability to facilitate multidisciplinary meetings
