Job Summary:
The role involves designing and implementing a comprehensive HVAC Apprenticeship Program to create a talent pipeline for customers and dealers. The candidate will teach the apprenticeship curriculum, covering HVAC products, equipment, tools, and processes for both residential and commercial applications, through classroom and hands-on training.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- To Be… Punctual, cooperative, dependable, and able to take direction;
- Design and implement a comprehensive HVAC Apprenticeship Program providing a talent pipeline to customers/dealers;
- Teach the apprenticeship curriculum including (but not limited to) HVAC products, equipment, tools, and processes related to residential and commercial including classroom and hands on;
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing processes expectations for each program;
- Work closely with customers to understand their training needs and adjust the program accordingly;
- Develop agreements with dealers to ensure program sustainability;
- Ensure the quality of the training program by continuously monitoring and adjusting the program based on feedback and performance metrics;
- Stay updated on the latest HVAC industry trends and technologies to ensure the training program remains relevant and up-to-date;
- Adhere to all safety standards and industry practices and they are responsible for the care and maintenance of classroom and laboratory facilities, equipment and materials;
- Open and willing to perform other duties as assigned.
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in HVAC/R or a related field preferred;
- 5 years of experience in a HVAC teaching or expertise role with sold technical knowledge of HVAC products, equipment, tools, and processes. (Refrigeration cycles, Gas combustion and HVAC Chillers);
- Member of a HVAC/R industry advisory board preferred;
- Experience designing and implementation training programs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong, in-depth knowledge of the residential and commercial HVAC/R industry including the mechanical and electrical systems and industry tools and best practices;
- Knowledge of the latest HVAC technologies and industry trends;
- Ability to effectively present information and convey knowledge and understanding;
- Ability to work effectively with customers and understand their training needs;
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude while under pressure;
- Proficient with computers, projectors, and other technology-based teaching tools;
- Knowledge of the latest HVAC technologies and industry trends.
