What the Role Entails
The Hydronics Specialist designs and supports residential and commercial HVAC hydronic systems, prepares detailed proposals, and resolves technical challenges. They work closely with sales teams, customers, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. This role involves occasional travel for site visits and troubleshooting, ensuring designs meet the evolving needs of TSI's diverse customer base.
Performance Objectives:
30-Day Objectives
- Build familiarity with TSI’s HVAC hydronic systems, software tools (AutoCAD, Visio, LoopCAD), and operational processes.
- Shadow team members, including the Engineering Manager and Hydronics Specialist, to understand customer interaction, troubleshooting, and system design workflows.
- Establish rapport with internal teams, sales personnel, and customers.
- Begin supporting design and quoting for residential hydronic systems under supervision.
60-Day Objectives
- Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting and preparing proposals for hydronic systems.
- Accompany senior team members to client sites to deepen understanding of customer needs and field applications.
- Independently complete designs for small to medium-scale hydronic systems.
- Begin contributing to product knowledge sessions and fostering client relationships with the sales team.
90-Day Objectives
- Confidently execute full-scale hydronic system designs and layouts for residential and commercial projects.
- Deliver accurate quotes and proposals with minimal supervision.
- Showcase technical problem-solving skills by addressing customer queries and resolving hydronic system challenges effectively.
- Contribute to departmental growth by identifying opportunities for process improvements and customer satisfaction.
