TSI ‘s service area covers northern Illinois, eastern Iowa, and the U.P. of Michigan with distribution centers based in Madison and Green Bay.
Job Summary:
Responsible for providing technical product service support and related training to TSI’s internal/external sales department and dealer/contractor network. Able to directly service products when required.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- To Be… Punctual, cooperative, dependable, and able to take direction.
- Provide technical service support for dealers and contractors primarily over the phone. When necessary, this may require on-site field visits.
- Good customer service requires that at least one TSA be available in the office (Madison and Green Bay) Monday to Friday to answer phone calls and assist our customers.
- Provide technical service support for Inside and Outside sales as needed.
- Work as liaison between dealers and manufacturers to resolve equipment problems and claims.
- Negotiate and resolve claims issues that arise between our dealers and product manufacturers.
- Provide support in hosting technical training for TSI personnel and dealer/contractor base as needed, focusing on product-specific trainings at TSI facilities and remote locations.
- Traveling to perform training and assist in start-ups including overnight travel for manufacturer training and meetings.
- Repair damaged equipment as needed.
- Work with warranty department to process non-standard claims.
- Promotes and maintains a flexible cooperative, positive, team oriented attitude with and between departments and end users.
- Open and willing to perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Solid technical knowledge of HVAC products, equipment, tools, and processes. (Refrigeration cycles, Gas combustion and HVAC Chillers)
- High School Diploma/ GED
- Driver’s License Required
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent troubleshoot and diagnostic skills.
- Able to work in a fast paced, multi-changing/demands technical environment.
- Excellent organizational, detail, communication, prioritization and follow through skills.
- Able to write and issue technical bulletins, service guides, etc.
- Able to perform related administrative paper work, record keeping and processes.
- Able to travel to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Able and available to meet emergency service need which arise.
- Strong customer service and related skills.
- Good negotiation and problem resolution skills.
- Able to use HVAC tools and perform hands on service and repairs.
- Possesses basic PC proficiency in a Windows operating system.
- Able to develop and implement effective and efficient training programs.
- Strong group presentation/ PowerPoint and related podium skills
- Able to maintain the technical product knowledge base required to fulfill this positions job duties/responsibilities.
