The position of Account Manager for the lower 48 east of the Rocky Mountains with occasional travel to the West Coast, is responsible for the business development and sales for commercial specialty fleet upfitting, customizations and fleet maintenance services. With a rapidly growing territory, this ambitious salesperson role must be willing to put in hard work to continue building an existing book of business. Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential and existing fleet clients, understanding their needs and requirements
- Present and sell specialized fleet upfit solutions, mobile maintenance, in-shop maintenance services and customized solutions
- Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management
- Maintain strategic customer relationships
- Work alongside both fleet and operations to drive sales
- Negotiate and strategically plan with clients
- Follow up with leads and manage the sales pipeline
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets
- Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for territory growth
- Ability to effectively establish relationships and meet in person with customers
- Obtain new customer accounts and expand current customer accounts
- Emphasize the features and benefits of TFS’s product offerings, add-ons, and customization options
- Achieve financial performance and revenue goals for TFS
- Self-generates leads by contacting prospective clients by telephone, cold call premise visits, networking, and industry events
- Designs, develops, and delivers sales proposals and presentations on service offerings
- Work with accounting teams to efficiently manage all accounts
- Consistently communicate with the TFS Operations / Fleet department to understand build scheduling
- Effective communication between customers, fleet management, and other departments as needed to ensure quick response to customer requests
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to convert prospects into closed sales
- Possess a strong understanding and knowledge of the specialized commercial fleet upfitting industry, including different types of equipment, components and customization options
- Technical understanding of commercial equipment maintenance for in-shop and mobile services
- Technical aptitude to understand and explain vehicle maintenance solutions and inspections
- Technical understanding of specialized dielectric testing and certifications
- Ability to effectively explain technical specifications and benefits to clients
- Strong sales reporting and analysis skills
- Strong team player with the ability to effectively interact with personnel from all aspects of the business unit
- Proactive and decisive contributor for the business with excellent communication skills
- Ability to take initiative, anticipate obstacles, developments, and problems by looking ahead to effectively execute responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Up to 75% of travel required

- Proven success rate at levels above quotas

Education and Experience:
- BA/BS University degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or related field preferred
- Three to five years of industry sales experience
