SUMMARY :
Under general supervision from the department chair, the incumbent teaches courses as scheduled, cultivates a healthy teacher-student relationship, and engages the students in active learning. The incumbent will make recommendations regarding curriculum changes, text selection, and content revision. The instructor will perform administrative aspects of instruction in a timely manner.
The incumbent will teach a 2-credit-hour course in the Summer, with the possibility of teaching in other semesters should demand grow.
Qualifications (Required and Preferred)
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK REQUIREMENTS :
Master's degree in dance or Master's Degree with a concentration of 18 semester graduate hours in dance performance. Must also meet any criteria specified by appropriate accrediting body.
PREFERRED :
Two (2) years directly related work experience in dance and / or musical theatre.
