Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and a strong understanding of materials and tools used in the painting process. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring that all work meets high standards.
Basic Functions:
1. Cleaning and Repairing: Prepare surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes and cracks, and removing old paint or finishes.
2. Cover furniture, floors, and trim with drop clothes, tarps, and tape to prevent paint splatters and damage.
3. Apply primer or sealers to ensure proper paint adhesion.
4. Set-up and use scaffolding or ladders safely for tasks above ground level.
5. Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results.
6. Apply paint, varnish, stains or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
7. Provide decorative or faux finishes as required.
8. Clean and maintain paint tools and equipment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Time management, and ability to work on multiple projects at one time
- Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding
- Must be able to work weekends
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
