What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Patient Safety & Risk Management position at Temple Health – Temple University Health System?
The Director of Patient Safety& Risk Management is responsible for the strategic implementation of patient safety and risk management services for the Temple University Health System. This includes the proactive identification and oversight of initiatives to improve the overall safety of patient care and the healthcare environment. The Director develops and implements education plans for staff and physicians on patient safety and risk management. The Director coordinates the activities and education of the risk management specialists including the RCA process, corrective action plans, and audits for serious safety events at TUHS.
Education
Bachelors Degree : Nursing (Required)
Masters Degree : Health care related field of study (Required)
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience
5 Years experience in health care risk management with experience in a leadership role (Required)
License/Certifications
RN-LIC - PA Registered Nurse License (Required)
CPHRM - Cert Prof Healthcare Risk Mgmt (Preferred)
