What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Educator II position at Temple Health – Temple University Health System?
The Health Educator II (HE) is responsible for establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial partnerships to build community trust and to facility education, outreach and research related programs addressing the regional cancer burden and health disparities. Such programs include the delivery of evidence-based cancer presentations and trainings in multiethnic communities and settings. Programs are offered weekdays and some weekends. HE supports research, conducts focus group facilitation, assists with recruitment and implementation of research interventions, contributes to the development of intervention(s) materials. Represents The Office of Community Outreach and Engagement (COE) and Fox Chase Cancer Center at local, regional and state coalitions and advisories.
The individual must have an active driver's license and their own vehicle. There is local and regional travel which will be reimbursed for mileage.
Education
Bachelors Degree : Public Health, Community Health, or related field (Required)
Masters Degree : Public Health, Community Health, or related field (Preferred)
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience
1 Year experience in a related role. (Preferred)
General Experience With Bilingual English/Spanish Language. (Preferred)
