What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Media Relations position at Temple Health – Temple University Health System?
The Manager of Media Relations is responsible for achieving earned local and national multimedia placements that promote the reputation and goals of Fox Chase Cancer Center's (FCCC) healthcare enterprise, with an emphasis on promoting the patient care, research and educational advances of the organization's faculty and staff. This position is responsible for initiating and implementing proven media-relations efforts that will results in strategically placed, positive publicity that will inform and enhance targeted audiences about FCCC's clinical excellence as evidenced by new or improved medical/surgical procedures/technologies, physician and/or patient profiles, novel clinical trials or translational research initiatives, third-party awards/recognitions/honors related to quality outcomes, new business partnerships/alliances/arrangements, and innovative community-service activities.
20% Travel is required for this role.
Education
Bachelors Degree : in Communications, Public Relations or related field (Required)
Experience
5 Years experience in healthcare public relations and/or media (Required)
General Experience in a major teaching hospital or academic medical center (Preferred)
