What are the responsibilities and job description for the OUTPATIENT PHARMACY TECHNICIAN - (Temple/Fox Chase Cancer Center - 40 hours rotating days) position at Temple Health – Temple University Health System?
Responsible for assisting the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications in our specialty and conventional outpatient retail pharmacy. Obtain patient information and insurance coverage required to process prescriptions. Triage inbound phone calls and redirect to appropriate staff. Requires attention to details and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Trade School: Pharmacy Technician Training Program (Preferred)
Experience
1 Year experience as a Pharmacy Technician (Required)
License/Certifications
CPHT - Certified Pharmacy Technician (Preferred)
