What are the responsibilities and job description for the GENETIC COUNSELOR (FT; 40hrs/wk) - Temple Faculty Practice position at Temple Health?
The Genetic Counselor will provide genetic counseling for obstetrical services by coordinating patient care, education and follow up. The Genetic Counselor primarily counsels patients for genetic lab work, ultrasound, amniocentesis, CVS, PUBS, transfusion or other fetal procedures / testing; Counsels patients who are at risk for various genetic disorders and congenital anomalies; obtains family history and pertinent medical records. Works as part of a multidisciplinary team. May coordinate and support research activities within area of expertise.
