What are the responsibilities and job description for the ORTHOPEDIC TECHNICIAN AIDE (FT; 40hrs/wk) - Temple Faculty Practice position at Temple Health?
Supports an orthopaedic surgeon in outpatient offices and clinics and interacting with medical assistants, athletic trainers, physician assistants, physicians, and other support staff. Follows patient from arrival to departure to ensure patient and provider needs met for best experience. Prepares for visits, vitals / rooming, approvals as needed. Assists in scheduling procedures / surgeries as needed in office and in OR / procedure suite. Assists in regulatory readiness, inventory, stocking, etc.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Completion of accepted Medical Assistant / Orthopedic Tech program (Required)
Experience
1 year of orthopedic experience in a healthcare setting (Required)
License / Certifications
BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)
CMA - Certified Medical Assistant (Required) or CCMA - Cert Clin Medical Assistant (Required) or RMA - Registered Medical Assistant (Required) or OTC - Ortho Tech Certified (Required)
