Temple Solel, a vibrant Reform congregation in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California, seeks a full-time team member with strong organizational and interpersonal skills and who is a detail oriented multi-tasker. We seek a committed team player who will be comfortable adapting to our ever changing needs and take on new challenges while continuing to do an outstanding job with recurring administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities - Communications
- Assist in the design, creation, editing, and distribution of newsletters, emails, and other communications to keep members informed about events, services, and community updates.
- Assist with social media updates and basic website content updates as needed.
- Monitor and report on the performance of social media posts and email campaigns.
- Support the development of marketing strategies and communication plans.
- Assist with general administrative tasks related to communications and marketing efforts.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure timely and effective internal and external communications.
Key Responsibilities - Front Office
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and members, providing a friendly and professional welcome, including two way radio communication with security.
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to general inquiries with warmth and efficiency.
- Maintain, organize, and tidy joint spaces, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
- Opens and distributes incoming mail, shreds sensitive papers, places outgoing mail in mailbox daily
- Support administrative tasks such as updating contact lists, photocopying, scanning, organizing annual timesheets, and assisting with event logistics.
- Track and manage office and kitchen supply inventory, ensuring timely orders as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong task and time management skills; high quality organization skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Quickly adapt to changing conditions and meet deadlines
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Intermediate knowledge with Canva, Word, Excel, Google Suite, and Adobe required.
- Not required, but helpful: Familiarity with Constant Contact, Shulcloud and Wordpress.
- Familiarity with Jewish culture and synagogue life is a plus but not required.
