Provides spiritual/emotional support to patients and their families, with a particular sensitivity and respect for one's personal values and beliefs. Addresses existential questions, end-of-life fears and hopes. Provides comfort in easing the burden of spiritual pain and nurtures a compassionate and listening presence during times of suffering and loss. Provides spiritual support for hospital staff upon request. Education Other : Four certified units of clinical pastoral education (Required) Masters Degree : of Divinity or equivalent degree in religious studies (Preferred) Experience 1 Year experience working or volunteering in a hospice setting (Required) 2 Years experience in a health care chaplaincy role (Required) General experience as a member of the National Association of Professional Chaplains or any religious or clinical affiliate organization. (Preferred) License/Certifications BCC - Board Cert Chaplain (Preferred) _
