Web Developer Internship – Summer 2025

Tempo Communications is a leader in test and measurement solutions for the communication service provider industry, and we’re looking for a creative and driven Web Developer Intern to join our team for a summer internship! If you’re eager to gain hands-on experience while working with a talented team, this internship is the perfect opportunity for you.
In this role, you'll be working on a variety of exciting projects, helping maintain and optimize our three unique websites. You'll update product listings, create eye-catching hero images, and ensure the websites are functioning at their best. If you're familiar with WordPress and Shopify, enjoy problem-solving, and have an eye for design, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Website Support: Manage and update content across three separate websites using WordPress and Shopify.
- Product Listings: Create and update product listings for our e-commerce platforms, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Creative Design: Design and upload compelling hero images and graphics to enhance the user experience.
- Content Management: Ensure the accuracy and consistency of website content, maintaining a seamless experience across all platforms.
- Website Optimization: Assist with general website updates, optimizations, and troubleshooting.
- Collaboration & Learning: Participate in team meetings, provide updates, share feedback, and collaborate on new ideas and technologies.
What We're Looking For:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Web Development, Website Maintenance, Graphic Design, E-Commerce, or a related field.
- Experience working with WordPress and Shopify.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing websites.
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work well within a team.
- A strong desire to learn, adapt, and grow in the world of web development.
Location Requirement:
This internship is based in San Diego North County. Applicants must reside in San Diego County or be able to commute locally.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing education in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and a keen interest in advancing skills in these areas.
- Experience with Shopify and WordPress.
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
