Full-time opening for a Production Lead in Mars Hill to work for a well-established business. Competitive starting pay; benefits available after temp-to-hire period concludes. Full-Time/Nights; 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM; $22.00/hr. ($20.00/hr. pay rate $2.00/hr. night shift differential).
The Production Lead will be responsible for ensuring that the production team remains on task and adheres to all established quality and safety standards. This employee will organize staff to cover workload requirements and meet production goals in a timely manner. Ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of background working in a food production facility, prior management/leadership experience, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee processing/packaging operations to ensure daily production goals are met.
- Monitor production team and redirect staff as needed to cover schedule needs.
- Work closely with other operations staff to troubleshoot and resolve any production-related delays.
- Keep accurate records of job site incidents and consult with Production Supervisor on how to improve areas that demonstrate significant or ongoing problems.
- Identify and support continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiencies and reduce production costs.
- Coordinate and execute employee training to ensure production procedures are followed and meet all daily requirements.
- Ensure compliance with established company policies, procedures, and goals.
- Report concerns about food safety and/or human safety to appropriate personnel such as QA technician, Safety Manager, FSQ Manager, etc.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required. Advanced training and/or degree in manufacturing processes or related field strongly preferred.
- At least two years of experience working in a production facility. Related management and/or leadership experience strongly valued.
- Ability to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Background check required.
Schedule: Full-time/Nights; 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM.
Pay: $22.00/hr. ($20.00/hr. pay rate $2.00/hr. night shift differential); benefits available after temp-to-hire period concludes.
