Full-time opening for a Quality Control Inspector with a well-established business in Mars Hill. Competitive pay and benefits; PTO, 401k, health and dental insurance. Full-Time/Nights; 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. $17.50/hr. $2.00/hr. shift differential.
The Quality Control Inspector will examine products and environmental conditions to ensure that production practices meet all established standards for quality, sanitation, and food safety. Ideal candidate will be self-motivated, demonstrate good attention to detail, and have previous experience working in quality control and/or food production.

Responsibilities:
- Review finished product to determine that outgoing merchandise meets required quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Perform weight checks, temperature checks, and verify code dates.
- Examine ingredient usage and distribution.
- Conduct routine area inspections and swab tests to ensure sanitary production conditions.
- Perform cook tests to verify the viability of finished products.
- Test for allergen contamination.
- Record data from testing and maintain clear and accurate records for reports.
- Evaluate report data for accuracy and compliance.
- Participate in food safety and plant audits as requested.
- Ensure adherence to good manufacturing practices, food safety standards, and product quality standards.
- Alert management of any deviations from specified safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Prevent, identify, and isolate potential quality issues.
- Perform other duties as directed by site supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required.
- Advanced education or prior lab experience related to food quality testing strongly preferred.
- Good attention to detail and ability to comprehend and perform all required testing procedures.
Schedule: Full-time/Nights; 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM.
Pay: $17.50/hr. $2.00/hr. shift differential with benefits; PTO, 401k, health, dental, and vision insurance.
