Job Description:
Immediate opening for a Quality Inspector to work for a well-established business in Presque Isle! Excellent daytime schedule and a full selection of benefits. Previous manufacturing/quality control experience required. Full-Time/Days; 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday; $17.50/hr.
The Quality Inspector will be responsible for reviewing items during the assembly process to ensure that all products being assembled at the facility meet established standards. The employee will run quality tests, flag potential defects, and review inspection results with production teams and management. Ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of manufacturing experience, working knowledge of quality control processes, and a good eye for detail.

Responsibilities:
- Review product schematics and perform visual checks on products, using measuring tools to verify compliance with company-wide specifications.
- Run appropriate quality control tests, such as pressure testing, material analysis, and/or functionality checks.
- Identify and document any defects or inconsistencies that appear during inspections.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of observation results.
- Identify reoccurring issues and notify production teams, supervisors, and quality management personnel as appropriate.
- Observe production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify potential problems.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement corrective actions and suggest process improvements to prevent future quality issues.
Job Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in relevant field of study or 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of relevant quality control methods, measurement techniques, and inspection tools, including micrometers and calipers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to express constructive feedback and observations to colleagues in a professional manner.
Schedule: Full-Time/Days; 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday.
Pay: $17.50/hr.; benefits available after temp-to-hire period is complete.
