Description
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations for prepaids, accrued expenses, fixed assets and various other accounts.
Participate in month-end close process. Prepare monthly journal entries with proper supporting documentation. Analyze and investigate variances
Monitor and analyze accounts payable aging reports and provide commentary for outstanding / aged items.
Process Accounts Payable invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding, approval, and documentation.
Review applicable invoices for 3-way match to Purchase Orders. Research, investigate and resolve all pricing, unit, and freight discrepancies in coordination with Warehouse and Pricing Departments.
Ensure all AP documentation is attached to invoices and all back-up is attached to Journal Entries. Maintain records electronically and in accordance with company record retention policies.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper coding of transactions / invoices and resolve accounting issues.
Other accounting and taxation duties as assigned.
Assist the CFO and Controller with special projects.
Requirements
Understanding of accounting concepts
Minimum 3 years of similar accounting experience
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to re-prioritize as necessary
Self-starter with ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Proficient computer and Excel skills
Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
