Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support and care to an individual in their home. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their independence. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care.
Duties
- Assist client with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Monitor and document patient observations, including vital signs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to client.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
- Administer basic medical tasks such as catheter care under supervision.
- Support clients in daily activities, promoting their independence.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
Skills
- Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in client conditions.
- CPR certification is preferred for emergency preparedness.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of hospice care practices is beneficial.
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring techniques.
- Experience in nursing home or memory care settings is advantageous.
- Understanding of catheter care procedures is desirable.
