We are seeking a talented and competitive Mobile Service Technician that thrives in providing quality customer service and solutions. This position is focused on providing service and testing of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA’s) and associated components in Florida and Georgia regions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Complete service and repairs of SCBA’s and related equipment.
- Perform SCBA flow testing, mask leak testing and customer mask fit testing.
- Prepare and submit proper paperwork in a timely manner.
- Prompt response to customers when scheduled for service or repairs.
- Maintain contact with customer; prior to scheduled service and follow up after job is complete.
- Maintain correct parts inventory.
- Maintain service vehicle cleanliness and appearance.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to create standard correspondence. Proficient verbal communication skills, in English, are required.
- EDUCATION:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Computer software experience.
Experience in the mechanical environment.
Ability to use hand tools.
Experience in working with compressed air.
Successfully complete the MSA C.A.R.E. (Certified Air mask Repair Education) certified maintenance program within 90 days of hire date. (Providing class is available)
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics.
- REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions in written and oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variances in standardized situations.
- OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- HEAVY WORK: Lifting 100 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and balancing.
- WORK POSITION: Sitting 10%, standing 70% and walking 20%
- WORK CONDITIONS: Spends approximately 75% of the time outdoors.
