JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Associate holds a critical role in the selling of TenCorp Inc. products and services. Through the development, connection, tracking and closing of sales leads, this individual takes on a lead role in representing our organization to our past, current, and potential customers. During the bidding and construction process, the Sales Associate provides customer project details to our internal teams and remains the liaison with the customer throughout the entire project and beyond.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS
- Customer Engagement –
- Greet Customers, making a positive first impression by greeting customers when they enter the sales floor or contact the business.
- Understand Customer Needs - by ask questions to determine the customer's specific wants and needs
- Conduct Demonstrations –
- Offer demonstrations of the barns or provide visual aids like brochures, blueprints, or 3D models to help customers visualize the final product.
- Lead Generation & Prospecting –
- Identify Sales Opportunities, proactively seek out potential customers by researching the local area
- Follow Up with Leads: Respond to inquiries, schedule appointments, and follow up with prospects who may be interested in building a barn or outdoor structure.
- Stay in touch with past customers who may need additional structures, upgrades, or referrals.
- Quote Preparation & Pricing Knowledge – *
- Based on the customer’s specifications, ask them questions to figure out their needs.
- Work with the customer to negotiate terms, such as price, delivery, installation, and financing, and ensure the deal is finalized.
- Sales Transactions & Documentation –
- Process Sales Orders, double-check orders for accuracy, including delivery details, specifications, and terms of sale.
- Coordinate Payment: Assist customers with completing transactions, whether through financing, payment plans, or full payment upfront.
- Collaboration with Other Departments at TenCorp to ensure efficiency– *
- Ensure that the right materials are in stock and coordinate with the team to schedule delivery or installation.
- Stay in high communication with Project Manager and General Manager
- Utilize HubSpot to organize sales material-
- Maintain necessary notes, meeting dates, documentation, and demonstrations to complete the sale
- Examples: Agreements, estimate sheets, dirt work contracts, change of order sheets, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Agriculture knowledge
- Basic knowledge of farming, including planting, caring for crops, raising animals, and understanding seasons and soil

- Have a base knowledge of the different types of barns sold and their features, benefits, and pricing.
- This is not a requirement, as this is something you can be trained on
- Familiarity with basic design software or building schematics* is a plus, especially when dealing with a customized order
- Some College/bachelor’s degree (Preferred, but not required)
