We are looking for a Facilities Specialist 1 to join our Main office location. Hours are Monday - Thursday, 8 : 00 AM-5 : 00 PM; Friday, 8 : 00 AM-6 : 00 PM.

Day-to-Day Job Duties : Responsible for maintaining and purchasing office supplies for all locations; responsible for all mail and mailroom activities; assisting the Facilities Supervisor with routine and / or light maintenance items in all locations.

Duties / Responsibilities

The following duties are normal for this position but should not be interpreted as all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Ensure delivery of internal and external mail and that mail equipment is functional.
  • Ensures the assigned equipment is in proper working order and available for use.
  • Maintains physical space, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment.
  • Receives, assists, and processes work order requests; ensures problems are resolved quickly.
  • Acts as liaison between employees and any outside contractors needed to resolve specialized problems.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies; reorders as needed and delivers to locations.
  • Makes branch visits to middle Tennessee locations. Travel to branches at least 2 days a week for mail distribution.
  • Replenishing snack and drink machines for the Main Office.
  • Drive repossessed vehicles to various locations.
  • Assist with minor maintenance on repossessed vehicles or assist with obtaining repairs (within skill / ability).
  • Assist with emergency preparedness planning team.
  • Assist with minor maintenance repairs to physical building (within skill / ability).

REQUIREMENTS

  • Above-average verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to adhere to Credit Union policies and procedures.
  • Ability to use a computer and MS Office.
  • Ability to work in non-smoking environment.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of employees and outside vendors.
  • Strong ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Must possess a state-issued driver's license, pass an annual Motor Vehicle Records background, and maintain the ability to drive Credit Union vehicles and a personal vehicle as required.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must possess the ability to establish credibility and make sound judgments.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer for long periods of time.
  • Ability to stand, twist, bend, squat, crawl, and climb.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to drive a credit union vehicle.
