Ten Mile is looking to hire a safety driven Escort Driver. PRIMARY FUNCTION: to ensure safety of trucks during the transportation of heavy-haul loads in various road conditions and distances. Individual must adhere to safety protocols and dedication to protect truck drivers and other drivers on the road.

For a full time opportunity, expect an hourly pay rate range from $17-$20 an hour, experience depending, and benefits. For a part time opportunity, pay rate up to $25 an hour, experience depending, no benefits.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment;
• Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines and company policies;
• Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions;
• Awareness of proper load securement practices;
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times;
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required;
• Must keep company vehicles in a clean and orderly condition;
• Driver will be responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and co-workers;
• Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook;
• Follow directions of manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite;
• Good with directions;
• Able to work in all weather conditions;
• Perform general labor duties when necessary;

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have valid drivers license and the ability to maintain a DOT Physical to operate company vehicles;
• Previous Pilot Car experience with heavy haul oversized equipment is a plus;
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background/motor vehicle check;
• Be willing to work holidays and weekends when necessary;
• Report to work at the designated start time;
• Be able to work overtime when required;
• Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold;
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas;
• Great attention to detail and stress tolerance.
  
  
  

Environment

This position will require working outdoors in various climate conditions ranging from very cold with rain to very hot and humid. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high, with occasional periods of time exposed to machine noise.
