Job Title: Senior Storage Field Applications Engineer

Academic Discipline (s): EE, CS or related fields, or BS degree with 5 years of storage field application engineer experience
Job Description:
We are looking to staff a Senior Storage Field Applications Engineer to join in our SSD product FAE team. Our product FAE team mainly focuses on customer technical services, including customer’s channel or OEM projects, good issue tracking and responses to customers. Additionally, get the customer’s real requirements feedback and relay the information to the Internal Engineer Teams.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Deeply study of SSD product requirement and customer specific requirement
- Deeply study firmware feature implements and test cases or validation process internally
- Focus on customer technical services, such as handling issues of tracking, customer requirements, new product promotions, design kit releases and so on
- Focus on duplicate issues from the customer site and try to reproduce internally
Required Qualifications:
- Major education background in EE, CS or related fields, BS degree with 5 years of storage field application engineer experience
- Expertise in JTAG. I2C, UART, SMBUS and SPI interface
- Experience in SSD product technical services, especially OEM projects
- Familiar with OEM test procedures and requirements
- Good knowledge of SSD product FW/HW features
- Knowledge of PCIe, NVMe, NAND bus (ONFI/Toggle) protocol
- Trouble shooting skills: FW log and HW trace recording.
- Knowledge of use of test equipment, such as Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, PCIe/NVMe protocol analyzer and so on
- Good writing and communication skills in English is required
Knowledge and skills preferred, but not required:
- Strong knowledge of OEM SSD requirements
- NAND Storage product Design Validation Test (DVT) for Channel and OEM projects and qualification experience
- SSD controller or SSD drive validation and debug experience
- Expertise on PCIe/NVMe, JEDEC, NAND protocol
