What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Coordinator position at Tenax Strategies?
The Account Coordinator is responsible for providing general and day-to-day support to internal public affairs and cannabis consulting client servicing teams; as well as supporting all aspects of client activity. ACs are independent problem-solvers who take initiative, attend to detail, and are eager to build a career in government relations and public affairs consulting.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Key contact for team members: managing schedules, supporting daily communications, and coordinating the development of materials;
· Support team members on content creation and collateral materials for client events, including, but not limited to state and municipal application documentation, fact sheets, presentations for elected and appointed boards, state regulators and potential investors, advocacy materials, responses for RFI/RFQ/RFPs, and other essential internal and external communications;
· Perform property searches & property zoning compliance checks, review ordinances & regulations;
· Participate in day-to-day municipal and regulatory monitoring of client progress, including periodic outreach to municipal staff; and
· Source and analyze information from state legislatures, regulatory bodies, and municipal governments to monitor changes in regulations and local ordinances.
Requirements
· A Bachelor’s degree preferred; preferably in Public Policy, Communications, Project Management, or a related field;
· Internship experience in government, political campaigns and/or trade associations, a plus;
· Strong, proven project management, research, writing, and public speaking experience;
· Proficient computer skills, including significant experience with Microsoft Office Suite;
· Experience with Data Analysis/Reporting tools such as Excel, GANTT charts, Python, etc. a plus;
· Ability to manage a diverse workload and multi-task in a team-oriented environment while consistently working against hard deadlines;
· Self-starter with willingness to learn through on-the-job experiences;
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and
· Results-focused approach with focused attention to detail.
