Summary
As a Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will be pivotal in safeguarding our organization's information assets and ensuring compliance with FISMA and NIST standards. Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, you will leverage your core skills in firewall management, incident response, and identity & access management to enhance our cybersecurity posture. Your premium expertise in IT infrastructure and risk management frameworks (RMF) will be essential in developing robust security strategies. Additionally, your relevant knowledge in cloud computing and system administration will support our mission to protect sensitive data against evolving threats.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of information security principles and practices, including FISMA and RMF.
- Proficiency in firewall and network security technologies.
- Experience with incident response and recovery processes.
- Familiarity with NIST standards and ISO frameworks.
- Strong understanding of identity and access management.
- Background in cybersecurity and computer science, with skills in operating systems and IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies to protect organizational information systems.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring effective incident recovery and management.
- Conduct regular assessments of firewall and network security measures.
- Collaborate with IT teams to manage identity and access controls.
- Stay updated on FISMA and NIST standards to ensure compliance and enhance security protocols.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
