Job Description
TITLE: AWS Administrator - Application Services Pharm Data POD
Location: Titusville, NJ
Duration: Long Term
The AWS Administrator will play a crucial role in the design, provisioning, configuration and optimization of the end-to-end vision and strategy for how data flows through the AWS Commercial Pharm development and production environments.
The individual will be joining a Data POD of developers and admins in the iterative design of a business solution using the Agile methodology. The candidate will also be required to have a deep familiarity with the following technologies and its application to business solutions: EMR, EC2, Kendra, GLUE, Athena, Spectrum, Elastic Search, EBS, S3. Candidates experienced with the following will be given preference: Spark, EKS, Dockers, Python, Redshift, RDS, CI/CD, Mulesoft, Apigee, Sage Maker, CloudWatch, CloudTrail.
The candidate will work with multiple IT teams and Business Intelligence teams to set standards that define how data is collected, how it is used, stored, managed, and integrated within our AWS environments. The AWS Admin will be required to follow client AWS-related security policies, the project’s overall data architecture and the solution’s fit into client infrastructure to address identified information needs. Specifically, the AWS Admin will be involved in resource & cost optimization, provisioning, patching, POC work, software installation, working with VPCx team for the listing of new services, and
Preferred Skills/Experience
AWS Architect Associate certification
Experience with Scrum and an Agile Development environment
Experience with tools like JIRA, GIT/Bitbucket, Confluence, etc .
Experience with Continuous Integration/Delivery concepts and tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, bitbucket, etc
Strong working knowledge of tools like Sqoop, Spark, Oozie, Hive and Impala
Strong working knowledge of ETL tools like Informatica and/or Talend
AWS Certification is a MUSt
