JOB OVERVIEW:
As a Junior Estimator, you will play a vital role in the pre-construction process—reviewing project documentation, performing quantity take-offs, and preparing competitive bids using industry-standard tools. You'll collaborate closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in every proposal.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Review project specifications and general contract documentation
- Perform contract drawing material take-offs and translate plans into actionable quantity estimates.
- Solicit proposals from subcontractors and suppliers to support accurate and competitive bids.
- Input and organize project quantities in HCSS (HeavyBid) software for estimating and project planning.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of construction industry experience preferred.
- Familiarity with reading and understanding contract documents strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the company.
- Must be able to commute daily to our office – remote work is not available for this position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- HCSS HeavyBid experience is preferred but not required.
