Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight:
- Manage daily operations, including materials, quality, machining, assembly, and shipping/receiving.
- Utilize KPIs to track performance and develop action plans.
- Lead manufacturing and related departments like planning, materials management, and logistics.
- Financial Management:
- Oversee the full P&L, ensuring financial targets are met in collaboration with various teams (Planning, Controller, Production).
- Continuous Improvement:
- Lead change initiatives and drive Lean and Six-Sigma methodologies to improve processes.
- Ensure cost control, quality improvement, and operational efficiency.
- Team Leadership:
- Provide direction, mentorship, and development opportunities for plant leadership teams and personnel.
- Manage team morale and turnover, ensuring high engagement and performance.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Work with safety teams to improve safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Oversee the implementation of policies and goals related to operations, safety, and quality.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Foster teamwork across departments such as manufacturing, engineering, production control, sales and HR to achieve company objectives.
- Strong leadership, motivational, and people management skills.
- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing and experience in continuous improvement strategies.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
- Ability to think critically and manage ambiguous situations.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or 10 years of relevant experience.
- Prefer manufacturing process experience in soft surface flooring or synthetic turf with expertise in tufting and extrusion.
- At least 10 years of operations experience, including safety, quality, and manufacturing engineering.
- 5 years of proven multi-process plant management or related multi-site leadership experience.
